Privacy policy

• Person suggestions. When you use Suggest a person, we collect the name, role, source link, and reason you submit, plus your email address if you choose to provide one.
• Correction requests. When you email a correction or right-of-reply request, we collect the contents of that message and your email address.
• Standard server logs. Our hosting provider logs requests (IP address, user agent, timestamp) for security and reliability. We do not use these logs for tracking or profiling.

Submitted information is used only to review the suggestion or request it was given for — for example, evaluating whether to track a suggested person, or investigating a correction. We use an email address only to follow up on the submission it was attached to.

CredMeter uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and how visitors use the site. Google Analytics may set analytics cookies and receive information such as pages viewed, approximate location, browser and device details, and interaction data. We do not use this analytics data for advertising. You can clear analytics cookies at any time through your browser's site-data settings.

We do not sell personal information and do not share it with third parties, except where required to comply with the law or a valid legal process, or with a service provider bound to protect it to the same standard, solely to help us operate the site.

Suggestions and correction requests are retained while under review and for a limited period afterward to preserve a record of the decision. You may request earlier deletion at any time — see below.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data you have submitted to CredMeter by writing to [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time.

CredMeter is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from them.

If this policy changes materially, the “last updated” date above will change accordingly.
