Governor DeSantis asserted that Florida is spending less today than four years ago. Official state budget records show that Florida's enacted budget for FY 2026–2027 is $117.6 billion, compared to $109.9 billion approved for FY 2022–2023. Total state expenditures have risen in nominal terms over the four-year period.
